I agree with most of this article. It is true that any dress code does not cater to each individual; each person has a different body making guidelines like the "thumb rule" ineffective and inconsistent. Students should be able to make their own choices on attire. However, there should be some limitations. While I agree that "spaghetti straps" and short shorts are not nearly as distracting to male students as the school district tends to believe, there is a point where revealing clothing could become an issue. However, these clothes are usually pretty extreme, and most self-respecting girls would not wear these clothes to school anyways.
